Ewww What is this?

Just gone to check on me babies and found this in the cage it stinks as well. :o Has fur and what looks like little white eggs round the other side it's awful but quiet concerned as to what this is?!?!?!

Any ideas what this could be?
 
I hate to say this but it looks like a piece of rabbit, what kind a hay do you use,
I had a severed rabbits leg in my hay once
 
I would say the tail end of a rat or mouse to be honest, definately an added extra to your hay.
 
Part of a decaying creature which definitely should NOT be in your hay! I would think the white eggs are flies/maggots on the rotting flesh.

Ew. And I just bit into my sandwich as the pic came up as well. Thanks ;D

Should I write to them about it? God thats made shudder sorry if I put anyone off there lunch x

deffo send them a complaint! you never know you might get a free bag of hay!! looks absolutely disgusting btw, i mean I'm used to seeing dead wild animals all over the place here but that make me xx0 xx0 xx0
 
I would deffo write to them and also possibly send the "thing" but take plenty of photos first (obviously you have already got some) from all angles in case they say they never received it. How vile! xx0
 
Ew! i always think I'm going to get a handful of rabbit or a little mouse when I'm giving mine hay xx0 i'd write to them, you'll at least get free hay! x
 
What a nasty surprise, it does looks like part of a small animal. Definately complain, they should send you a replacement.
 
Eww! ;D Thats freaking me right out! Herbage is rubbish I bought some for Tika Rabbit and she still hasn't touched it! It's very poor quality I think. Oxbrow is better. :) Defo complain though and get some free hay!

I thought my piggies were eating one another at first as Pippin has been giving haircuts to the babies which are now nearly bald! 98) I thought she had gone a tad to far :D

It is minging don't think I can stomache to send it in the post I mean the poor person who opens it will prob have flies swarming out :o
 
I think a photo would suffice! Unfortunately this sort of thing seems to happen quite regularly - mice etc get chopped up and the hay gets baled and bagged without a human ever looking at it. I'm sure they'd refund or replace, though.
 
ok I think I'm going to start washing my hands more after handling hay :-\

Errr... while I don't disagree that they should get a refund, if someone had to check the hay before it was baled and bagged then it would be about 10 times the price because of the manpower it would take. THEN we'd have something to complain about! ;D
 
I feel sorry for the poor rat/mouse! going along minding its own business then gets chopped in half by a big machine :o does that mean someone got its top half in their hay then? x
