Ex breeding sow was to be put down !

slight fungal

mites,

lice,

bumble foot in front feet size of marble,

thin

she has.done nothing but eat lol

you can tell she was.kept in dirty conditions as the underside of her nails were black with dirt:(

she has now been treated for lice, mites, fungal= still needing more treatment, nails clipped,feet soaked and cream applied, and had her antibiotics,

btw she is a tri coloured teddy sow x

Sounds as if she likes the spa she has gone to.:))
 
I'm so angry reading this......Id love to know which breeder this was, because if thats the state of one of their "stock" I hate to think what the rest of them are like :( If shes got mites, fungal and lice you can bet the rest of them have.

I'm so pleased shes safe, bless her she must feel in heaven with you Claire.
 
Thank goodness you have rescued her, sounds like she is in very capable hands now. Can't believe how cruel some people can be!
 
The description of Lavender stretching out her leg in the water really touched my heart? Where has she learnt to trust like that? She obviously is blessed with a wonderful temperament. That vet deserves a medal. Why can't these places be inspected and shut down?
 
sorry dam lappy is broken nd hubby wont let me use the works lpy as there isnt ny anti viris protectionon it ony used for designing drawning not the net,

butshe is doing fab and will needa home once she is better possbly a youngor laid back sow or neutered boar anyone wanting to offer her a home can contact us via pm or

What is the latest news, Helen, Claire. How is she doing? What sort of a character is she, now that she has been with you for a while?
 
Do you know if the breeder of this piggie is based in Essex, only I got a guinea pig fairly recently from a breeder and within a week he was at the vets being treated for mange mites, at first it was suspected fungal.
 
So glad this story has a happy ending at that she has found a loving home, well done to everyone involved for saving Lavenders life, she sounds adorable.
 
Claire will do her best to get lavendar back to 100% good health, why she is in her care, and the rescue will make sure she gets the best possible forever home, when she is in tip top condition. Still waiting for photo, to see what she looks like.:)
