Am getting so many mixed messages about what to feed my guineas.
How often should they have fresh fruit and vegetables and which are the best,
We are getting very confused:{

I didnt want to leave this unanswered and I'm by no means an expert myself but here is what I feed my 2 piggies each on a general day

Full bowl of Guinea pig pellets each
2 handfulls of hay each
A quater of red / yellow bell pepper every day ( baby piggy isnt keen on this but sonic loves it )
1 Peice of Brocolli - altho Sonic isnt keen on it to be honest but eats it last.
1 Small slice of carrot every other day.
A few leaves of Curly Kale and / or Dark green cabbage depending on what we have in
A few sprigs of Parsley
2 thick peices of Cucumber
Handfull of long grass and a few dandilion leaves from the top of our garden
The occasional slice of apple /pear etc

Both mine rarely leave anything if they do its usually the brocolli

about 40g's of bell pepper (red/orange/yellow) a day covers their exact vit.c requirements (I will double check the amount as I can't quite remember at the moment).

spinach/kale/lettuce should be fed sparingly, perhaps once a week, same with fruit as it can cause mouth ulcers. Cucumber and celery are only really water, but they love them! I would say as long as you are feeding a variety of veggies, they'll be fine :)

They don't really need a huge amount of dry feed - try a small handful, if they eat all that very quickly then increase it, essentially you want them to clear their bowl every day, when they start leaving bits then you're feeding too much.

My 3 sows keep same weight for year so I assumed they self control of eating.
They always have pellets(4 kinds - 2x burgess selective and wagg, mixed in 1 bowl),water and hay.
+Daily fresh 1 pepper 1 carrot half apple 4 sticks of parsley for 4 sows.
Sometimes we buy blueberries coriander dill and give them as well.
