Hello! I have noticed that when Winston gets excited or after he’s been running around with his adoptive brother, Al, his breathing seems quicker. When holding him, his heart seems to be beating quicker, too. No other signs of anything wrong, as he’s playing a lot, eating and drinking a lot, wheeking and talking with Al a lot. Am I weird for worrying? Am I reading too far into things? He doesn’t seem to be breathing loud or anything- only when I physically hold him close to my ear can I hear him breathing, so that’s good, right?

As with any animal, humans included, exercise increases the heart rate and breathing rate. It is perfectly normal
