Her Nibship
Teenage Guinea Pig
Well, the title says it! Honeybunnies had two lovely girls who were possible matches for Dougal - Ida and Evelyn. The wonderful Ange (Honeybunnies foster mum) offered to have Doug while we were away last week to try to bond him with one of the girls, for which we can't thank her enough. Ida was our first choice (it was close though, as Evelyn is beautiful too) and luckily she and Doug took to each other straight away
. We fetched them both home today, and Dougal showed Ida round. After a while she settled down in one of the beds, and instead of going in another one Doug lay down by the side of the bed. We thought he was being a real gentleman, but of course once the veggies arrived it was every pig for him/herself
! Ida is understandably quite shy, but we'll let her take things at her own pace and I'm sure she'll soon come start gaining confidence. She is a beautiful lilac/light coffee colour with some auburn patches, with a lovely shaped face and red eyes. She is 18 months and 1,180g to Dougal's 10 months and 869g...I think I caught him playing Queen's Fat Bottomed Girls to her earlier! I'll post some photos of the happy couple when she's had a bit of settling on time. Difficult to say who's more excited - me or Doug
