So.....I have been shopping today, not just for christmas presents but....I also need things for.....

Two gorgeous boys that I will be adopting from Suzy! :)) They are currently with Debbie at the Excellent Adventure Sanctuary as one of them needs another dental check before being re-homed...There is a possibility that he may need regular visits to Simon, so seeing as I was going to re-home anyway, and they need a home close to Simon just in case, its a perfect situation for me to give them a new forever home here with me :(|)

They are currently called Manny and Chesney, but as much as I like those names I wanted to re-name them for the new start here with me, so seeing as I'm a bit of a foodie and I'm into Celebrity chefs they will be called -

Gino and Jamie

Gino is mainly black with ginger flecks, hes a little bit cheeky and very noisy
Jamie is a GINGE! and he looks like hes going to be long haired. Bit shy and nervous at the moment, but with lots of cuddles and patience from me he will come good.

Gino was one of the pigs rescued from the garden, where the babies were food for the local cats, and Jamie was born of one of the pregnant sows that was rescued. They bonded at Suzys.

Pigtures when they are all here and settled :(|)

Heehee - I'm so happy that the boys have such a great future ahead of them, I could not have wished for a better outcome for them.

Here's their rescue threads - they came from separate garden rescues (now known as Cats Take-aways as lots of babies are born but not many make it out alive).

Gino (Mannie) - http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=73827

Jamie (Chesney, ginger baby) - http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=75298

When Mannie was rescued he had a piece of plastic over his bottom teeth, a very small, tight band that had obviously been on there since he was a baby and it had restricted the natural growth of his teeth. He was moved to The Excellent Adventure Sanctuary with Debbie so that Simon could oversee any treatment he may require. Luckily it seems that as the teeth grow they are improving, so he now has the opportunity of a home and any future problems being dealt with by the best vet possible.

I love the members of this forum - it makes me very proud to be part of it - thank you to all that helped in the original rescues, transport, fostering, donations and now rehoming - fantastic!

Suzy x

Oh I am so pleased and excited for you! I have been wondering when you will get piggies and could not wait as you are the best piggy mother ever. Gino and Jamie will be so happy with you and have a wonderful life. :)

Aw thanks Suzy, they will be very spoilt here with me and you will get to see them all the time on here :))

Who was Jamies mother on that link? Is he the baby in the photo with Shadow?

Jamie was about a week old when they were rescued, as all the babies fed from all the lactating females it was impossible to tell who was mum - though Fiona was the most popular milk bar.

Flame is the baby that bonded with Shadow, Jamie bonded straight away with Gino so there was no need to try either of them with anyone else.

Thanks guys I am very excited. Was hoping to go and see them tonight for a cuddle but Ive come down with a stinking cold :(

Have spent the last 2 hours re arranging the office to fit the huge cage in! Couldnt fit all the furniture and the cage in, so something had to go....My desk and chair! lol! I'm sure work wont mind, I can still sit and work at the dining table.

Ive ordered the cage liner, cuddle cup, tunnel, hammock and ball pit today. Ive got food, toys, vitamin drops, brushes, shampoo, fiddlesticks, wooden house and veggie treat ball thingy!

All I need now is Hay (where do you guys get yours? I used to buy the P@H stuff but I'm not giving those gits my money), Igloo, ramp, fleeces and PIGS!

Hi, I am the person who rescued Manny & his brother Chester (Suzy named them that).I am so pleased that Manny has been rehomed to a loving home and Suzy has done a wonderful job with him and his brother. I was so sad to read that a small piece of plastic was found on his teeth. Of course, he and his brother, (and Sarah of course) were running around in a back garden, so Manny must have picked up something that had been left in the garden, poor little chap. A lovely end to what was a sad story at the beginning.

I certainly will be checking your threads for when your boys come home :)

I don't know how I missed this thread :))

Anyway, big congrats to you, I know you will be a fabulous piggie slave rolleyes I am so happy for you & your gorgeous boys! They are stunning x)

Although I am full of a cold, I spent hours today putting together the Rabbit 150 cage that I have for them. Its simple enough to put together, when you know how...nitemare doing it on your own lol!

Ive taped up the ramp and will be covering the wire platform with a specially made liner (thank you Lorraine -c), and Ive ordered some special piggy steps from Zooplus so they can get up onto the second level, to the hayloft. If they dont work Ive seen a special ramp that I can order.

Cant wait for everything to arrive so I can make it all perfect for the boys

and Mummylind - I remember you rescuing Manny and the others. Hes got another visit to Simon on Monday to check his teeth, hopefully he will get the green light to live a normal life. Either way, you can rest assured that they will both be spoiled rotten here x
