Senior Guinea Pig
No, not new piggies. Even better!
Nooshi has been with me permanently since 22 July. Since then (and a few months before that) she was reliant on syringe feeds. Something initially sparked off a loss of appetite, and dental problems followed when she didn't make any effort to eat hard food. The past few days, with tips from both Karen (rodentologist friend) and Vedra, I have been attempting to get her eating solid food again. It was only two days ago that I started popping the hard food in the back of the mouth for her, on Weds she had 7 nuggets of hard food, and yesterday she had 15 nuggets. After eating a few nuggets last night she took a 15ml syringe feed - by herself, taking it willingly, no effort needed on my part!
And this morning, I went to feed her and look where she was and what she was doing...
(Look closely at the front of the top cage)
I guess I shall be skipping this mornings feed!
