Good morning, "Natw1181" that is so wonderful that your piggies have a large floor space, is that instead of their cage? Mine was sort of free range, he had no cage, so he would go wherever he wanted in the flat. It's mud season now, right?
Have a wonderful day,
Thanks,
Alexis

Good morning, Lilly, another fun thing about wheeling them around is that children and adults come over, and ask what animal is it, want to pet them and make a big deal about the piggies, smiles all around. It's a human thing, and it's good.
Have a beautiful day,
Thanks,
Alexis

Why not pick up each piggy individually, it might take you an extra ten or fifteen minutes?
Thanks,
Alexis

My piggies hate to be separated from each other - and wheek like mad and panic if I try to take them out to the run individually. Even Jack, who currently lives side by side to Pumpkin and Boo, panics badly when they go out of sight. Mine just don't like to be picked up or carried in any way, its a prey animal thing.

I must admit I feel very sorry for dogs in strollers. And wonder why anyone would do that to a dog, unless of course it was disabled in some way, but then if it was unable to walk I would question its quality of life :(

Hi, "Poppy'sMum", I have an idea that can work for you. Would you consider bringing some greens, an aromatic herb, such as a little basil, and some bits of cucumber, and presenting those to your piggies when they start to sniff around on the grass. Remember, they are out there to move around, so keep them moving and busy and entertained. It's that you have to get physically involved in helping them move around. I used to chase mine, grab him and roll around. Once, a passerby thought I was having an epileptic seizure because he didn't see the piggy in my arms, he just saw me flailing around
Would it not frighten a guinea pig to chase them and then grab them and roll around ? They are a prey animal after all.

Hi, "momof4boys" do you find that collapsible or fabric carriers are preferred by the piggies more than the portable cages?

Oh yes, my granddaughter would make a great fuss of the piggies talking to them or patting them in their trolley while we ate our lunch. She then delighted in showing them off when others wanted to know what it was she had in there.

I wish we had taken a photo of when my granddaughter used to take the boys out in my laundry trolley. Never thought to. But once she bought a toy shopping trolley for one of Peanut Butter's birthdays & we did take a photo. He loved being pushed around in this.

Hi, Lilly, yes, it happened all the time with Sunshine whenever I brought him outside. He kept getting mistaken for a puppy. He didn't like strangers too much, and would give me that special purr. Have you had piggies all your life?
Thanks,
Alexis

No, I've had some sort of pet all my life but piggies were an accidental acquisition over 3 years ago. Now I wish I had room for more than just the 2 boys, they are so endearing. Mine don't like strangers either & I think it's only natural. So many children especially would ask my granddaughter if they could hold a piggy & she would say no, they would be too frightened of strangers. She operated on the "you can look, but don't touch rule". My son's family lives just down the road so my granddaughter gets plenty of interaction with my piggies. She stopped taking them out in the laundry trolley when she turned 10 last year because her teenage sister told her she looked like one of those homeless ladies pushing a trolley around! Something she would only have seen on the telly, because we just don't see that in real life in our little corner.of Brisbane..
