experienced with abscess needed please, vet said be fine not to clean, yet most others say to clean?!? if i was to clean, how? salt water (cooled down from boil of kettle) any advice welcome!

i wasn’t allowed in vets because of covid.. she said she flushed it, shes on baytril, just under her chin on left side!

i’m giving her her 2nd lot of antibiotics at 12am then from tomorrow 10am/pm daily. the vet said to me i wouldn’t need to clean it when i asked, and said it should just heal itself. (i think its fairly small, will try to get pics tomorrow) she did say i could just pat the fur around it with water if it looks bloody or anything. she was an exotic vet so i’m sure she knows what she’s doing, i just feel very anxious after reading how many people clean them! i have no idea what to use / how to do it and am just really concerned.

here is the best picture i can get of her abscess
