Thanks piggyfan. :) Ive been trying floor time once a day for 10 days, and that (2 days ago) Was the first time they havnt just sat still looking terrified! hehe.

Hahahahahah! Looks like they had a brilliant time :)

Ive only just noticed, but in the first video you can see spice going "come on sugar, dont be such a woss! theres parsleyyy!!"

Id also like to add, that although it LOOKS a mess, and dangerous, the area under the chair is blocked off (filled with a gree plastic box they cant get past/behind) and the area under the desk has their pet carrier and an innocent washing basket filling it up so they cant get there. :P

And ofcourse they have constant supervision! :)

Thank you so much for posting that. Red is getting too large for his cage, or at least he is getting bored with the same space as he gets larger, and I have been at a loss for what to do. I could outfit a room like that, it wouldn't be too hard.

Aww so cute! I found my boys started enjoying floortime more when there were plenty of hideys. They can run from one to the next without feeling too exposed. I use boxes and tunnels etc. Now they are very confident, lovely piggies x)

I have used the entire floor space of my daughters room for my girls. However, my daughter is visiting tonight for the first time since I nicked her bedroom - lets just hope she likes piggy girlies......x)

Connie - they look very big pigs.....lovely - thanks for that...x

Haha. They are getting pretty big! They are 1.025kg (ish) each. But only 10 and a half months old, so still growing!
Haha, thankfully its my bedroom, so no disputes there!

I did try giving them many hidey at first *there were TEN in that space!* But my boys, are wosses, and wont explore unless forced too. :/ I had the same problem with the outside run, and when i remove the hideys they explore and wheek to eachother, :) But thanks for the tip!

I have used a king sized matress protector on the floor (£8 in primark - i know you dont have one in the US but others might find it usefull) I find its good because i dont have to worry when it gets wee soaked, (when the fleece got wet my floor got stained!)

Aww they look like they are beginning to enjoy floor time! Thanks for the advice about the mattress protector, I could use that myself :))

YAY this is great...........awwwwwwwww.........they're really getting game now :))
I loved the way they carefully looked around and then seemed happy as anything to just potter around x)x)

Well theyre cruel mommy might have put them out near that silly dog of hers :)

*they are always in a secure run when the dogs about, but they just cower from her.*

What a good idea :)

Thank you, I will try again then. My other worry is bringing them in to a warm house and then putting them back outside again. I was told guineas don't like big changes in temperature, is this true or will they be ok?

Just wanted to say, check your other thread, more experienced people have replied on there. :)
