I don’t use the cupboard by their enclosure so thought it would be nice to use as another level.

We lined it all, put puppy pads in there, fashioned some steps from a bendy bridge and we were ready to go!

We did it hours ago and neither of them have been anywhere near it!

have you tried putting some food in there? maybe if they can smell their favourite they will sniff it out and go and investigate the new area?

Ahhhh they'll have a sneaky look when you're not around! It looks great 🙂

Personally I would stuff that cupboard with hay then lay a coriander trail... great idea for extending their space :)

Yes, I had decided to fill it with loads of hay but was holding back to see if they went in!
If they still haven’t been in by tomorrow I’ll put hay in and see if they will use it then!

You could use one of the puppy pads in the main area to put in there as well.

Is the cupboard open thro all the doors, no wall between the last and middle door?
If it's open thro the length of the cupboard maybe open up the last door as well so they have two exits and it's not so dark and scary with only one way in or out. Not sure if that would work but it's worth a try 🤔
Maybe put one of their favourite hides in there as well and swap a clean puppy pad from the cupboard for used one from the main area so their smell is in the cupboard? 🤷‍♀️
Maybe make it their kitchen area or bedroom area 😮
Could the problem be the log bridge going up to the cupboard? I know one of my piggies won't walk on the log bridges (he likes to hide under them tho!) so would it be worth putting a fleece over it or using something else that's smoother?
Just throwing out some ideas, I don't know if any of them will work but might be worth a try?

Yes, a completely through cupboard and all doors open so could open the end one as well.

I have no idea if they can use the log bridge as they haven't so much as sniffed it!

I use those log bridges as hides - my two piggies will happily sit on top of them when they are in hide form, but they will not walk on them and use them as bridges
