Sometimes Taco goes into popcorn mode, but it is like super popcorn mode. I know piggies can have seizures and I'm a natural worrier. I tried to get video but he always starts up when I'm not ready and by the time I have my phone he is chill again. I'll try to be ready next time. He goes back to his normal self when he is done but I've never seen a piggie popcorn like that.

Is it possible that this is not popcorning and something I should be concerned about?

Hi!

Without a video I can of course not comment on the actual case, but piggies can have very much their own individual popcorning style like we humans have each our own free dancing style. Popcorning can range from just a tiny hop or skip to literaterally bound off the walls and rolling on the floor on extreme cases, as well as anything in between.

If your boy is perfectly fine in himself, I would however not worry about seizures.

I will try to get a video next time. 😊 I am probably over reacting, but I love them so much I would hate to have seen signs of a problem and did nothing.

He definitely does a little trampoline-ing off his little couch when he gets going. It's incredible to watch, lol! He had a spell right before I posted this and it was after the boys got a new cuddle cup, some pea flakes, and we practiced our upups. I hope that he is just extremely pleased! 😁😁😁

it sounds very much like a happy lively boy!

Roger that! I set up a YouTube just to post videos here, lol!

Shout out to those making this great place possible! 🥳🥳🥳

Why he must be happy to be where you are! He seems a like very happy guinea pig! He must be excited, don't worry!

Gizmo (Rainbow piggy) used to run zoomies VERY fast round and round then all of a sudden would leap about a foot in the air and clap his back feet and front feet together before landing and repeating. His friend Lenny tried to copy but failed miserably. It was hysterical to watch and I was happy because my piggies were happy.

One of my boys Vlad used to popcorn so hard I thought he was having seizures, but he was just having fun! He’s older now and doesn’t do it as much, just short bursts these days!

Ginger and Posh have just started popcorning, especially when we put them back after sofa time. I have never seen anything like it. Both race around the cage and jump right into the air and almost knock themselves out. Then do a sideways move almost rolling over, then go along hoping and squeaking as if they are being pinched, totally crazy!
Bill and Ted would popcorn out in the run but nothing like as complicated a game these two 😆 Try not to worry, he’s just a very happy little man x

Yes I must get a video of my Luigi (especially when the girls are in heat! ), his popcorn, zoomy, roly-polies are a thing to behold!
Well absolutely nuts really! Hilarious to watch but I can definitely see what you mean by looking like a seizure! He’s 1400g, knocks everything over, bangs into stuff, legs flailing at times while making his crazy noises! :))
Definitely the craziest I’ve ever seen from a pig! :))
