Jasper has an eye discharge. Looked white and gooey, but dried clear. I have an appointment for tomorrow morning, but is it something that requires more urgent appointment? He is fine otherwise, weight and all.

Hi

We recommend to have some eye gel (preferable to eye drops) at home. Hopefully it is just a one off.
If you cannot get hold of eye gel, plain artificial tear drops from a pharmacy or supermarket will do. They are just not quite so efficient.

You may find this link here helpful (for bookmarking); especially if you suffer from anxiety:

Here is the link to our practical emergency information collection: Emergency and Crisis Care as well as Bridging Care until a Vet Appointment

All the best. As there is no acute bleeding, your piggy should in any case hold until tomorrow. :tu:

So any eye gel will do? He looks a bit in pain as he keeps squinting it.

Any plain eye gel will do, as will any plain eye drops. They will help to slow down any infection and keep the eye a bit more comfy until you can be seen.

The inside of his lower eyelid is s bit inflamed and the vet said he has a cold or something. I asume URI as he said he could hear something when he was checking him. I also noticed his wheeking is a bit weak and raspy . Thing is here it has been warm the past weeks so no idea how. Checked his teeth too, all good. Got an antibiotic- doxycycline and I only could find eye gel in pets @ home Beaphar's one with vit A. Would the gel be better or the drops in that case. Also advised to get some vit C.
