Hi please can anyone suggest what they think this maybe, obviously I know she needs to be seen by a vet but whilst I wait to see them was curious to experienced people's thoughts. I'm unsure if she's been eye poked by hay or if it's like a cataract type Thing? just to add its not bulging I was pulling back a little to open the eye up so I could get a better look and picture, or you'd really only see the frosty patch. sadly I've been poorly and mid flare all weekend so haven't looked at the pigs for a good 3/4 days myself, and my partner doesn't look as closely, so had them out to groom etc and noticed it so unsure when this happened but only recently. no issues with the other pigs or her other eye and upon looking and having a very gently feel she doesn't seem bothered by it at all and going about her usual stuff being cheeky etc. we're due to go on holiday till Sunday tomorrow so hoping can get her into the vet or my friend who is looking after them will have to :/IMG_20190818_163715.webpIMG_20190818_163652.webp

Ouch that looks sore! These things always happen at the worst possible time! Have you managed to get a vet appointment yet?

Ouch! I'd guess that that is likely a hay poke! Please see a vet as soon as possible. Eye treatment is the same as for other pet species.

Any eye injuries or infections, even more so when they are bloody, should be seen ASAP because they can deteriorate very quickly. The damaged area can be much larger than visible to the naked eye.

In my experience eye injuries always happen at the most inconvenient of times. :(

:agr:. Please get a vet to see her tomorrow. That eye looks very sore and will need treatment starting as soon as possible.
