Eye Issue/buildup

Not sure what this is... Thought my boar's eye looked funny and I realized he had some sort of buildup? What is it?

How old is he? If you are worried, I would recommend to have the eye seen at a vets, but not as an emergency.

It usually happens rather suddenly in middle aged to older guinea pigs. If it grows too much into the eye, your vet can remove the excess.

He's only one year old... I'm considering taking him to the vet. Glad it's not an emergency
 
His other eye that is normally pink around the edges looks red.. But you can't see any lining showing

We can only speculate; you will need to see a vet about it. But it does not look like scratching to me!
 
Sigh...looks like conjunctivitis or at least the start of it. How quickly does he need to see the vet? I'm worried that it may take a while to get an appointment in if I call tomorrow.

Within the next day or so ideally. If you explain on the phone they may be able to squeeze you in.
