Hi!

I just got Al today and he is just a little baby. I noticed that his eyes look different than my other GP’s. Sometimes it looks fine and sometimes it does not. Any idea what’s wrong? He doesn’t seem to be exhibiting any other issues that would indicate a URI.

It looks like one is bigger than the other

I have absolutely no clue. I’d just advise you to take him to a vet. No one can properly diagnose the problem using a photo.

Always treat potential eye problems as an emergency. My vet insists on seeing any animal with an eye problem the same day. Only a hands on examination by a qualified vet who can diagnose what the problem is is the only way forward.

Please have him vet checked if in any doubt; eyes are delicate organs that any vet will prioritise.
It could be something stuck under his lid that is causing irritation or even an eye lash poking into the eye (entropion) and that can in the longer run cause an eye infection; it could also be a non-ulcerating eye injury from a hay poke.
Only a hands-on examination with special dye under UV light can show whether there is any damage to the eye.

Please also double-check the gender. Sexing Guide
