So my guinea pig is 3 months old and behind his right eye there is no hair, dry, and crusty so I don't know what it is and I'm getting kind of worried20170807_150025.webp

@Izzyg1234 You need to take him to the vet for treatment. Please make sure that you wash your hands thoroughly after each time you touch him.

It looks to me ( I am not an expert ) but to my knowledge a fungal infection, it looks severe, so I would suggest the vet, just don't get scammed by the vet ;) Try not to get too stressed out, just do everything you can for your pig :)

Please have your guinea pig vet checked for ringworm/fungal infection. With the correct treatment and good hygiene and disinfectant, you should be able to get on top of it well. Please be aware that an acute outbreak needs to run its course, so it is going to look worse for a time before it all heals off and the affected hairs in a much wider area than now visible have come off and are regrowing again, usually within a month of the outbreak. Our guide has pictures that show you what to expect at the different stages.

Please be aware that ringworm is highly infective and is one of the very few things that you can catch from your guinea pig, as well as your other pets. Take your time to carefully read our hygiene guide; it tells you in great detail what you can do to prevent transmission and reinfection and which disinfectants work - most commercial ones are only antibacterial, but not antifungal and therefore useless.

If the outbreak has happened within 2 weeks of buying your guinea pig from a pet shop, you can reclaim the vet cost from the shop as the exposure/infection must have happened at the shop. Just present the sales receipt with the vet bill.
