Hi my poor little piggy has got a sore looking eye. Anyone have any ideas what it could be or if I need to take her to the vets?

Def needs to see a vet, I have no idea what the problem may be, but it looks like there are tooth puncture marks there, was there any blood? Is she houses another pig?

Yes there are two other piggies she lives with and she is the smallest out the three. I'm wondering if she has scratched her eye.

It could be a scratch or it could be the start of a fungal infection like ringworm. Is she eating, drinking, pooping normally? If so I would pop along to your vets when they open

Thank you both, will give them a call monday morning.
Any ideas on a ruff idea on cost to take her to the vets? Never had to take any of them before.

Hi and welcome!

It rather looks like it could be the start of a ringworm infection but any proper diagnosis requires a hands-on vet diagnosis. We can only guess and tell you whether or how soon you need to see a vet.

How long have you had your piggy?
If you haven't had them for long, then you can reclaim the vet cost from the pet shop as part of your customer rights of having been sold faulty ware because exposure and infection must have happened at the shop or the commercial mass breeder.
This guide here has got information on your customer rights and on common new guinea pig problems: What to check for in new guinea pigs (vet checks, sexing, parasites, ringworm&URI)

If your vet diagnoses ringworm, then here is our care and hygiene guide which is very important to prevent the spread and further transmission. Please do NOT treat on spec and do NOT touch or cream the area; all you achieve is make a proper diagnosis very difficult but do not contribute to any healing. Ringworm: Hygiene And Pictures

It really depends on your vet. You are looking at minimum the consultation charge and they will be able to tell you over the phone how much that is. Anywhere between around £16-50 I think I have paid depending on the vet practice
