Eye Problem? :(

I noticed tonight that one of Gilbert's eyes appears to be drooping very slightly. It's like the bottom lid has started to droop and his eye looks like it's starting to become more of a tear drop shape rather than a circle. I have absolutely no idea when this happened. It's only really noticeable if you compare it to his other eye and it also looks slightly more watery than his other one (it's not actually watering though; I've not had to wipe it). There is no discharge or cloudiness and I can't see anything in his eye that's irritating it. He doesn't appear to be in any pain i.e. hasn't gone off his food/no change in behaviour. Has anyone any ideas what this can be?

I'm going to take him to the vet on Monday but should I be doing anything at the moment? Or does anyone have any ideas what it can be? I'm really quite worried about him.

I'd really appreciate any help/advice as I'm feeling a bit out of my depth. I hope I'm just overreacting but there is a definite droop there!

Could it be fatty eye? Have a look at the photos on here:

It may help you identify the problem, but I expect the vet will be able to tell you when you see them.

It does look a bit like that but not nearly as bad. Like the eye tissue you can see in that photo is a lot more prominent than in Gilbert's eye. Poor wee soul. They're such a worry. It says it's inherited so I would have thought it would have developed before now as he's nearly a year old.
