Hiya,

There is something wrong with my skinny guinea pig left eye. To be honest I am not sure if it really is his eye or just the skin around it. It got puffy around his eye and got discharge as well. Sometimes it gets better sometimes it gets worse. I tried a couple of treatment such as salty water to clean out, they have carefresh as bedding so it cant be the dust, I even tried to use recommanded eye drop but it seems like help a bit for a while then goes puffy again. I checked this link http://www.guinealynx.info/eyes.html#signs but he doesnt seem to have any of these. On the other hand he doesnt seem to be in pain, eating and drinking okay, he likes his running time and very friendly. I am going to take him to the vet but would really appriciate if somebody would have helpful comment on it.
I uploaded a few pics of both eyes (mostly the bad one). Have a look: https://plus.google.com/photos/10079...04420181634097
Thx for the comments!
Nora

Hi Nora sadly the link seems to come up with an ERROR :(

Good luck with your little piggie, i really do think going to the vets is the best option XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Maybe try putting the pigture on again....... i'm sure one of our lovely members may have dealt with something similar?

After Liquorice's eye troubles, I'd recommend a visit to the vet.. Your Piggy might need some antibiotic drops, which isn't over the counter..
One thing that comes to mind though is she may have a blocked tear duct.. is her eye sometimes crusty, i.e sleep in it?

Thx for the comments so far, I try to upload the pics somewhere else. Yeah sometimes I think it is crusty.. :)

I suggest a vet look at your piggies eye, if its something that needs treatment then a prompt appointment is recommended.
The worse case is that it is left, and your pig looses his eye.

Her eye lids look swollen.. Think a vet visit is on the cards, but at least you don't have the bluish tint. You'll have to watch out for that. Possibly blocked tear duct responsible for problem?
