Just got back from the vets with nibbles. She has a growth on her upper and lower eyelids, wich looks quite sore. She has been given some eye drops for 5 days but the vet didn't seem optimistic.

She then went on to say Nib's might need her eye removed. I'm devastated for my poor little thing. 8...

Anybody else had too go through this and any tips are welcome

My piggy has ongoing eye issues, she punctured her cornea a couple of months back, and has had infection issues on and off... has the vet offered antibiotics or pain relief for her? The only reason my piggy didn't have the latter was she's not in discomfort, where as your piggy might be, which could be making the growths look worse than they are..

It is not the end of the world if your little one has to lose an eye. They can manage perfectly well without one and it is better then having recurring eye problems. I had a piggy with one eye and she coped so well.

Thanks, she's not in any discomfort or anything. Yeah she's on antibioc eyedrops. She's eating drinking nd being her normal self :)

I know it's not the end of the world just felt like it at the time.

If you'd have seen Liquorice's eye at the time, I really thought she was going to loose it, it was that bad :( If I can get her through this, she might just come through with both eyes, only time will tell.. Sending healing vibes x

Hi there, piggy fan is absolutely right. My captain jack has one eye, poor are by the usual pet supermarket chain but he does really well.

It goes without saying, I hope the drops works. Good luck.

Healing vibes being sent through the stormy weather :))

Thanks lil, I know she will be fine she seems less worried about it than me.

Will keep you all posted x>>

Absolutely, we are worry warts when it comes to our furries, natural. I worry when mine go for a check up and when the vet handles them. I say things like "she doesn't like that" :))

If only they knew what the put us through x Think the vet thought I was mad as I kept saying " It's alright baby" , " Don't worry sweetie" things along those lines :red @)

Took Nib's back yo the vets yesterday. She's been given different eye drops for the next 3 weeks. The vet doesn't want to remove it with out giving these ago.
