I feel like I'm posting a lot recently, sorry everyone.

This is a bit of a random question but I've been meaning to ask for a while.

Are tiny eyes normal?

One of my newer pigs has tiny little eyes. He's a Swiss cross, and his brother has beautiful big eyes, as have all my other pigs. But Mouse has tiny eyes. I have guinea pigs with eyes of all colours but regardless of the colour they are all the same size apart from Mouse's eyes.

I also don't have a clue what colour he is so if anyone knows what the technical term I'd love to know.

Don't really think this belongs in health but seemed to fit better here than other places, sorry if it's in the wrong place.

I'm not sure that the photos really show how tiny his eyes are, but they are vastly smaller than the others'.

I know my older boy has pea eye (doesn't bother him and I'm careful to monitor it as he only has one eye) but his eyes are the same size as everyone else's, hence why I used him as a comparison next to Mouse as he's very calm. Mouse's just seem so small to me.

They don't bother him or anything and I do know he was the runt and was touch and go if he'd make it so he is small, but seems perfectly healthy.

First photo is Mouse.
Second Mouse and his biological brother Rupert.
Third photo Tiger and Mouse.

Hi!

Eye size can vary quite a lot. Yours are all within the normal range, I am happy to say. My Alan has very small eyes, too.

Eye sizes and shapes can vary quite a lot. And I have some piggies of my own who have 2 different eye shapes/sizes. Once you get used to it, it’s not such an issue, but when they first came in I was concerned that there’s an eye injury or that there’s a retracted eye.

I don't think they look abnormally small. There are definitely pigs with larger eyes and smaller eyes, just like there are people with different facial features. I think it's just his facial structure... the eyes themselves look bright and normal. Are they even on both sides? If so, I'd say it's just his facial features!
