My old girl Ellie is 6 now and I have noticed this evening that all of a sudden she has a very sore eye. There is a white spot on the eyeball and the rest of her eye is a very milky/cloudy colour. Also the white of her eye is very blood shot. Does this sound like an ulcer? Also how serious is it? Hopefully we will be able to get her to the vets tomorrow or saturday but is there anything we can do in the meantime to ease the soreness? We are currently giving her Metacam for bumblefoot so hopefully that pain relief might help her eye too? I can try to post pictures if required.

Many Thanks in advance,

Rach :)

BUMP !

Hi love i'm really sorry to hear about this, yes it doesn't sound good does it :...
I'd get her to the vet a.s.a.p., hopefully the metacam will relieve the pain a little, but it sounds like there's something not right there !

I'm hoping someone with more experience will give you some advice

Thank you Glynis! We have been to the vets today, we have 2 sets of eye drops, one anti-biotic and the other painkiller. She thinks she will be fine though. I just panicked last night as it looked really bad, but very thankful she will be ok :)
