Hello everyone!
I was thinking about starting to make some toys and hideys for my 2 girls. I was wondering if non-toxic fabric markers would be safe to use on the fleece so I could draw cute designs.

I wouldn’t. It’s best you buy fleece that’s already printed and that you like.

:agr:

Plus please bear in mind that your guinea pigs won't care if the fleece has cute designs or not.
But maybe use fabric markers to write their names on bunting to hang safely out of reach over their cages?
I made Ruby some personalised bunting, and apparently she loves it and it makes her feel very special :D

It's a lovely idea. I use fabric markers quite alot but I've not done anything piggie related but as long as you mark them first then put them through the wash to remove any residue it should not be any different than printed fabric.
You could also try the freezer paper method - I've recently bought some to try. Not sure fleece will work but cotton will if you are getting creative! Again- wash before piggies go anywhere near it.

I didn't even think of that. I was thinking about making them a hidey and writing their names on it

I never heard of the freeze paper method. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to find any locally because of being quarantine. But if you try it before let me know how it works and ill let you know if I get a chance to

Ok 👍 freezer paper can be bought online.

Where abouts are you located? It may be useful to add country at least to your profile so that people can tailor advice & support 👍

You could do their names on something and hang it out of reach, as suggested earlier. Or make their name in fleece and see to the hides b

I used Creative joy fabric markers to painting my shirt, it is also non-toxic so I do not need to worry. I think you can try to use these markers.

This post is several months old and the poster hasn't been on since April so they probably won't see your reply. Their question was whether the markers were safe for guinea pigs, have you used yours on items that are for guinea pigs? Do you own guinea pigs yourself?
