Just curious if anyone uses these. They seem to leave a strong smell after washing their blankets

I use a store brand liquid. Perhaps you can do a rinse after the wash?

I've heard that fairy non bio tends to leave an odd smell after the wash. I've seen the same sort of comments from people washing reusable nappies in it too

I didn't like Fairy the one time I tried it because of the smell. I use cheap own brand liquid now as I find even if there is a slight smell when it comes out of the washing machine it soon disappears when the washing has been hung on the line.

I use fairy powder, had no problems with any smell.

I also soak the bedding in a bucket with boiling water and some washing powder, give a good push around then leave for about 1 hours, after push around again and drain and rinse then bung in the washer.

Not had any problems.

My neighbour uses those and when her washing is drying outside the smell fills my house if I have the windows open. It's so strong!
