Fake carrots...........

So about a month ago I tried to give Ted some little carrot things from the pet store. They are made out of alphalpha and something else and they are made to look like carrots but Ted didn't really like them. He smelled them then walked away and didn't touch them again. he prefers the real thing lol. Just wondering if anyone else has tried those carrots that I am talkign about. Thanks!

Twinkle and Milo have some of these but they just let them rot in the cage. They aren't interested. :)
 
I don't think alfalfa is good to be giving adult piggies. Most of the treats from pet shops aren't worth it, as they're full of colourings, flavourings and sugar. Ted would be better off with some nice veg every day, he would enjoy that O0
 
HHmmmm is Ted considered an adult piggie? He is almost 9 months old now. Yeah I don't give Ted many treats from the pet store other than those huge sticks, he loves those, and these things called Healthy bits, he LOVES those! Other than that I just give Ted lettuce, carrots, and apples mostly, and of course pellets. :)
 
I have tried these with some of my piggies and they just sit there in there hutches, they do not touch them

Hi, I only get my guinea pig's food from the pet shop, aswell as some choccies and that's about it. He loves them choccies, they have quite alot on vitamin C in them and they are called, Vitakraft Yoogurt Drops. He has 3 a day but always tries to get more. :)
 
I wouldn't recommend those treats (sorry) as they contain dairy and they can't have dairy. It's good that they have vit c in though.
