Hi, I have 2 piggies both boars and one is 6 months approx and the other a month younger. All was going well but puberty hit.
They started teeth chattering and heckles raised they were distracted for a few weeks with food but then had a fight no blood but the younger was shaken. We separated for the evening and tried to place them back together once they had calmed the next day. The elder went straight back to fighting so we changed the cage round as we have a big c &c cage and kept them as neighbours.
They nose bump, chatter and sit next to each other happily but the younger seems sad and spends a lot of time near the bars. Both get lots of attention and we have got the younger pig a cuddly toy which he lays along side. I don't want to neuter as I know this won't help the aggression or personality but is there anything else I've missed to try.

I'm sorry to hear they had a fall out. I've been there myself with one of my boar pairs.
I'm afraid there is nothing you can do - their bond failed and they do need to live as neighbours.

Do be aware that chattering and siting next to the bars is not necessarily a sign of being sad or wanting to be together. Most usually that kind of sitting net to the bars is simply territory marking. They are making sure the other doesnt cross the boundary.

If you think the younger one would be better with companionship, then your only option is to find him his own character compatible friend to live in the same cage with him.
