This book is called the Guinea pig handbook by Barrons educational series and all the information in it is false!:(

Oh my God. That picture of clipping teeth with nail clippers actually made me feel sick!

I wish there was a way to have books like this destroyed!

The nail clipper teeth picture made me cringe and just look at that cage size!

Oh no - everything there is just so awful.
How old is the book.
I actually found an old guinea pig care book I had from when I first got guinea pigs - it was pretty old, and written before the days that we all had access to the Internet. :fog:
It included such gems as 'keep your guinea pig with either another guinea pig or a rabbit for company'.

I think I'm going to throw up!:vom: Clipping teeth with Clippers? A hamster wheel for a piggie? A cage obviously too small? Just how old is this book?

hmmm I really hope this is just an outdated version of this book. I ordered a sample to my kindle (my phone) to try out but for some reason it won't load so I can't check whether the new version is the same

Sadly it looks like its not an out of date book. I found a review on goodreads from Dec 2013 about it. The book was first published in 2003.

Judging by the review it still says wheels/exercise balls are good, it has a photo of a piggy whose nails are too long, it advocates buying from pet shops/breeders, suggests males can't be paired together. Awful. Its on sale at Amazon, perhaps we can report it to get it taken down?

I want to cry at that I really hope people haven't done any of these things and yeah find the online code and report it to amazon definitely they have to block it cause its wrong information puts animals at risk of harm I read somewhere that the wheels are cruel and can break there backs is this true?

Oh that teeth trimming picture made me want to puke! :hb: Yikes! Hamster wheels?!?
