Fan blowing on cavy?

Hey y’all so I have a guinea pig (short hair idk the exact type). I normally keep the temp in my house at 75 F. I just noticed that it was getting warmer and warmer and when I checked my thermostat it was 80 F. My AC has broken and it is 10:43 pm. There is nothing that I can do until tomorrow morning however I am trying my best to keep him cool just for the night. I have a normal plug in fan and I was thinking about just laying it on his cage and letting the air blow. I don’t know if that would be a good idea but I also need help to come up with a way to keep him cool at least for tonight. I don’t know if it will get any hotter tonight so I really don’t know what the best idea would be. He is about a year old.

Ps. I don’t care to hear anything about my parenting skills. Don’t tell me I need to provide a stable temp. home or come for my parenting. I do my best and sometimes things happen out of our control. Thank you for the help in advance.
 
A fan is fine but make sure there's no draft or they can get a upper respiratory infection. I had a fan in my pigs room and the next day she was sick with a respiratory infection from the draft. so just be careful and you should be ok
 
Sorry you didn’t get many replies, it was about 3am in the U.K. where most of us are from. Hope you and piggy stayed cool!

Yes as mentioned above a fan is a great idea, you just can’t point it at piggy. I have one on in my piggy room but it faces away from them, that way you can cool their room but they’re at no risk of a URI :)

PS: I wish I had AC! :))
 
Y’all are awesome. Thanks so much for the help & advice! I was a little too nervous last night so I just grabbed an ice pack & wrapped it in a clean cloth and put it in his cage. It really worked! Got my AC fixed this afternoon so Iris (the cutest guinea pig) and I are back in safe territory. Thanks so much again guys! Blessings xx
