Farewell Beautiful Ariel

Beautiful Ariel (aka "BigPig") died at midnight last night. She had a cystotomy for a 1cm bladder stone in March, followed by pnuemonia, followed by broken top incisors. She seemed so much better with teeth that now met, and her little sore feet were better. I picked up from the grass at 6.30 last night and her breathing was very laboured. We rushed straight to the Vets and were seen immediately. The vet couldn't tell if she was in pain or had pnuemonia again. She was given a baytril injection and a painkiller. Once back home she had some metoclorpropamide and I began syringe feeding (again!). She took the feed and a lettuce leaf I broke up for her and hand fed. At 11.30 I tried to feed her again but all the food dribbled from her mouth. When I put her down she died.
She was a beautiful, gentle layed back piggy; we and Souley will miss her.
