Thank youSorry for your loss, I've made your photos bigger as befitting a piggy of her standing within our community.![]()
So sorry for your loss Merab's slave. She was a gorgeous girl. What a lovely tribute, she no doubt had an amazing life with you. Take care xxWhat can be said about a guinea pig as special and as lovely as my Merab?
I fell in love with her the moment I set eyes on her.
She came to me as a 6 month old in January 2013 with her mother, Tamar.
She was quiet and shy but a happy girl.
She bonded well with my lone boar Titus and after Tamar’s too early death they lived happily together until Titus passed away.
Keziah and Jemimah joined the family and Merab bonded with them in an instant.
She was 3 years old, they were 3 months old and she mothered them.
They gave her a new lease of life.
Merab was always a quiet and gentle piggy who just got on with her life.
Where Merab wanted to be, she was.
What Merab wanted to do, she did.
Life happened around her and at times she seemed bemused by it all.
Cataracts robbed her of her sight but didn’t stop her.
She lost her voice and so her wheeks were more like loud whispers.
After Keziah’s death earlier in the summer Priscilla and Phoebe arrived. My hope was a successful bonding of both pairs so that when Merab did pass away Jemimah wouldn’t be alone.
Merab bonded well and it was funny to watch her sitting placidly eating while 2 crazy youngsters zoomed and popcorned around her.
Sadly she developed cysts which turned out to be much more than the ovarian cysts we first thought and her heart simply stopped.
She will always have a special place in my heart and I will miss my beautiful and beloved Merab.
