As many of you know, Carson passed away last night unexpectedly after we picked them up from the boarders 2 days ago. You can read about it in the Pigging Out thread.
This is to remember my happy little boy from the moment we adopted him from RSPCA as a companion for Bodie who recently lost his newly bonded companion that time, Bryce.
Carson was very skittish piggy, well only with me but not with pigdaddy. Every time I would pass them by, he would start hiding. The reason was he always thought I would pick him up and have him weighed or get some cuddles. He loved the cuddles and the chin & cheek rubs though.
He was always doing zoomies and popcorns even if he didn't have a reason to. He would also always wheek so loud every time he would ask food, especially grass. Every time he heard the backdoor open, he would go straight to the other side of the room and would wait there for some grass. If we don't bring him anything or if no one would stand up to get it, he would let us know with loud wheeks that he demands it. After getting it for him, he would be popcorning and zooming because he is happy and then forgets to eat it anyway!
Around late last year, he was diagnosed with cataracts due to having type 2 diabetes unknowingly. We only went to the vet for a lump removal that time and his eyes was the first one she noticed as she entered the room. Typical.
You wouldn't know he has limited vision though with the way he was zooming in the living room. He never bumped on anything though, apart from Bodie at times, which annoyed Bodie sometimes. He was a cuckoo in the eyes of Bodie. He would always sniff and checks first if Bodie was eating the food given to them. As if he thought we wanted to poison him!
The downside with this illness was him not getting his favourite food anymore, like pea flakes and carrots. But he did manage eventually and his diabetes was all in control after the diagnosis.
I would miss all his antics, especially his loud wheeks. Bodie usually would rely on his wheeks to know we would give them food and treats. His popcorning also brought us so much laughter. This is such a heartbreak for both me and hubby. We didn't expect to lose him that quickly.
Wherever you are in the Rainbow Bridge Carson, you know how much we are missing you right now. How much we are hurting you're not here anymore. We loved having you the two years you were with us. You brought so much happiness and laughter. Popcorn free my little baby boy. Gone to soon but will never be forgotten.

Here are just some of his photos. There are more in the Pigging Out thread for those interested. Last photo was the day we dropped them off the boarders. He was happy and eating hay when we left them.

This was the zoomies he did a few days after successfully bonding with Bodie and being finally allowed to run around the living room. He did this constantly through out the 2 years we had him.
