Sadly we lost Heidi suddenly 4years 9months. She didn’t show any signs of illness at all. I can’t understand why I didn’t notice? I just found her curled up in a corner sleeping.

Twilight is the one who’s showing signs of old age with her eye but Heidi always appeared fine?!

She is so missed Farewell “Miss assertive” outgrew her name not Heidi at all. 💖 xx

So sorry for your loss.
Sending love at this difficult time 💕

Have fun over the bridge gorgeous Heidi 🌈

Hi!

HUGS

I am so sorry that you have lost Heidi so unexpectedly. It is going to be very quiet in your cage without her... :(

Death can happen right out of the blue without warning. I have had a couple of piggies that simply didn't wake up from an afternoon nap over the years - it is actually much rarer than you would imagine.
But nothing you have done wrong or missed! It does happen. The soul searching bit is very normal for the onset of the grieving process; we are wired to seek any 'fault' with us even where there is none.

Please try to take consolation in that death has come for Heidi as softly and as gently as can be. Most natural deaths are much more physical and take longer. When we have the choice, would we not rather bear the pain of the shock of a sudden death ourselves rather than put a beloved one through greater pain?

Thank you that’s really comforting. I would have much preferred to be with her but can only hope that she went peacefully. 🌈❤️

I’m so sorry you lost Heidi. Popcorn high at the bridge Miss Assertive. Take care ❤

Sorry for ypur loss. It is always tough even if we know the cause. Be kind to yourself and Twilight and treasure the memories.

So sorry for your loss.
It’s such a shock when a piggy simply dies so suddenly when nothing is obviously wrong.
Heidi will leave a big hole in your heart.
Be gentle with yourself as you grieve
