Max came into my life in May 2013 and my only regret is that I did not know about this forum . He was a Rescue Guinea Pig - from a local animal rescue and I adopted him with his cage mate, Monty . They didn't get on and I was intending to have them both neutered and paired with a sow each.

Unfortunately. Monty developed and abscess after his neutering and I eventually had to make the difficult decision to have him PTS.

The silver lining to this dark cloud was that I had discovered this forum and was able to take Max dating. I took him to Milhaven in March 2014 and he came home with Bess and Sparkle.

As Max was a Rescue Piggie, I do not know how old he was when I got him. I feel he has had a short life but I hope it was a happy one with me and his 2 wifepigs.

Here are a few of my favourite photos ...

It doesn't matter how long he has lived, as long as he has had a happy life with you and his two sow-wives. You have made his life worth living.

Thank you everyone for your kind replies . I regularly look at this thread and have a little weep . You are all being so supportive and helping me with my grief.

The girls are so quiet . They've only wheeked once for their meal since Max left them . I have decided to get them another boar companion. No boar will ever replace my Max - but he won't need to !
