Can't quite believe I'm writing this but today I said goodbye to my fuzzy pig Mollie
Mollie came to live with us from Coseley GPR about 2 1/2 years ago. Her exact age was unknown but she was thought to be around 3 when she came into rescue. She'd been pregnant when surrendered but her babies didn't survive. She came to live with my dear old fuzzy Mr Ted who chose her out of all the ladies available and they lived harmoniously as 2 fuzzies until I suddenly lost Mr Ted to a urethral stone.
After Ted's passing Mollie was a nightmare to bond. She showed me up on a number of dates when she beat up suitors young and old, male and female. She finally accepted Mabel from Potteries GPR who was only a baby at the time. They lived happily together until a couple of weeks ago when Mabel had her spay and Mollie decided to unceremoniously evict her. Since then she'd been very happy living the life of a solo pig next to the company of the others.
In the last few months Mollie had developed heart trouble and a number of infections. Despite the very best veterinary care and support she was in a process of decline which accelerated this week. I couldn't go on watching her star fade and her quality of life deteriorating. I am an advocate of the "better a day too soon than a moment too late" philosophy so today I made the difficult decision to help her to the Rainbow Bridge.
Farewell my fuzzy faced menace. Cause mayhem at the Bridge. We will miss you xx

. Always good to remember her at her most feisty best and not as she was becoming at the end.
Sorry for your loss.
