Farewell 'pirate' Ralph

I'm posting on behalf of my sister, who sadly lost Ralph, one of her special little piggies today. He had many health issues, mainly resulting from him having to have an eye removed a couple of years ago. But he took it all in his stride, as he did most things. However, repeated operations catch up with pigs (as I know when I lost my Hamish in December), and today's procedure proved too much for the little fella. He didn't come round from the anaesthetic fully, his lungs started to fail. Our vets did everything they could, and kept him going long enough for my sister to get to him, when she was able to cuddle him as he took his last breaths.
Farewell Ralph, already skipping round in guinea heaven with his brothers and sisters, and his podgy cousin Hamish! We'll all miss you lots xx
 
I am very sorry for your sister. Both of you must be very upset!

Thanks for all your good wishes guys, I'll pass the messages on. These little guineas are so special, aren't we all blessed to share our lives with them?!
 
RIP ralph so sorry for your loss , little creatures that leave such a massive hole when they go xx
 
I'm really sorry for your sad loss. It sound like he was a well loved piggy & had a good life. R.I.P. Ralph. xx
