Farm Park....

I took the kids to a farm park today.. i promised him we would see the piglets, they were adorable...what i didn't like were the bags of food suitable for all the animals, kids chucking handfuls of it straight at guinea pigs faces, kids given baby rabbits to hold and squeezing them when they wriggled, cages that looked like they needed a good bloody clean....

To be honest, I think animal parks (and zoos) are on their way out. Its too costly to keep the animals in a safe happy environment, people who care about animals rights always have problems with the places (often rightly so), kids get sick from touching the animals is a lawsuit waiting to happen. To me, they are like circuses, animals as entertainment from a time when there wasnt much else to entertain yourself with.
