Fast breathing and weight loss

Unfortunately he’s not so good today. He’d lost some weight by Thursday. A bit quieter yesterday and some squidgy poops. He didn’t want a treat this morning but was eating hay after his meds. He’s now sitting in a huddle and his eyes are sunken, though he did eat some dandelion. Thinking we’ll restart the antibiotics (as previously advised by the vet) and visit either the out of hours vet later or the normal vet in the morning. Not feeling positive.

Oh no I’m sorry he’s not doing so well. Sending healing vibes. Good luck at the vets.

Thank you for your support. At tonight’s weigh in he’s down to 920g from 999g last Sunday and 976g Thursday. He’s not as flat as this morning but still subdued. He’s enjoyed some grass this afternoon and some parsley tonight. Will do a feed before bed and a nighttime feed. Vet tomorrow but our regular gp vet isn’t in until Tuesday. 🤞

A bit more positive on the poop front during the night (several decent size/shape during the feeding) and he was nibbling some hay and drinking water this morning before his latest round of meds and feeding, though just one slightly deformed but ok sized poop during that just now. Thinking of shifting his vet appointment to the afternoon to see how he gets on during the day. He is more active though still some way off his usual self and we’re a bit more hopeful that this might be an upset tummy on the mend. 🤞

Sadly he took another dip and made what turned out to be a final trip to the vets this afternoon. Whatever was underlying was too much for our brave little boy. Thank you for all your support. Heartbroken. He’s now with his long time partner Chips and and short term friend Julien-Chewie. 🌈💔😢

Only this morning they were eating hay together and there seemed to be a glimmer of hope, though Dobby wasn’t eating much.

I'm so sorry, they so often seem to make a comeback just before the latest dip. Seen it too many times. Lots of cuddles for you and remaining pig.
