Morning everyone
One of my guineas never stops eating. He's always eating vegetables, at the dry food bowl munching on hay. I guess this is pretty normal but he's got so big recently. I guess he's still growing (being only 3 or 4 months old) though. Any suggestions on what weight is healthy at this age? Is there any point you should worry about him being too fat?

Thanks a lot.
Joe

Hi Joe,

The weights can vary. Pudsey was 600g at that age but he is a fatty and is very hairy! Eccles was 450g at 2 months. What weight is your pig?

He's just over 600g I think.. I weighed him on Friday but he's probably heavier now!

Aww bless, he is probably going to be a big pig and that is fine. Pigs can weigh between 1 and 4kg. My average is 2.5kg which off the top of my head is 1300g roughly. :)

He sounds a little chunky monkey! :)

haha - he's just a big round ball of fluff! At what age do they usually stop growing?

Also, should I ever worry about my other guinea not getting his fair share of food?

Thanks for your help!

My lad is 4 months and weights 525g but my 3month old I don't wanna weigh as think she's gonna be a porky money like her mummy ;D ;D
