Okay I haven't had piggies for a while as my hubby's dog we discovered was allergic, long story short I've been desperate for more, but not willing or hubby allowing to put the pup through the itchies. Anyway came to the forum feeling ready to see everyones pigs and talk about them....fatal....then saw Charlie and Jet....double fatal....so discussed situation with vet and basically it should be sortable with time and piggies in residence. Discussed it with hubby and he finally said okay grudgingly yesterday, 5 mins before the post about Charlie and Jet finding their forever home! Don't get me wrong I'm chuffed to bits for them and I figure fate.
And as it happens I've seen a wee lass in a rescue in Kent who is almost identical to one of my last girls, been in contact and I'm trying to figure out how to get the wee lass here providing I pass muster.

I know this post has gone nowhere but I just needed to get it out in the open as it were.

the phrase oh well i am i sure it will end well springs to mind! Hope you can have piggies at some point and the pup is not too itchy!
 
Congratulations on convincing your husband(not always easy to do),i hope the dog is ok with the family members to be and that all goes well with being approved for adoption,Fingers crossed xxxxxxxx
 
Thanks everyone, I was amazed when hubby said okay, jaw dropping moment if ever there was one. My vet said the wee doggie may have actually out grown his allergy as he was only a teeny pup at the time but if not she should be able to treat his symptoms.

So hopefully at some stage I should have piggies.:(|)
 
I am glad that you will be able to have both your dog AND some guinea pigs!

Whatever happens, I'm sure you will find the guinea pigs that were meant for you!

I can't throw any stones - Taffy looked so much like my Minx from the first pic I saw of her (and than had the same huge sad eyes) that I had to have her all the way from Scotland, especially after I started dreaming of her.

Best of luck! And don't fall over your pup dancing around the house like mad! :))

Oh and it's not the dog I have to watch out for falling over it's that damnable devil cat I'm sure he has an invisible cloak at times, but you are right I'm doing a wee jig in the kitchen :))

cats do have a habit of pouncing out of nowhere dont they...? ¬_¬ haha

I haven't been buying anything yet but I have been looking for the best prices for the things I want to get and I'm making a list. :(|)
 
You could ask Santa for some things? lol
I love finding the best prices on stuff for the piggys and find that i spend hours looking at lots of different things and website. I do enjoy it though. :)
 
For housing, it would be best to ask for the requirements of the rescue you are adopting from. They are not necessarily the same.

I've sent a pic of the cage I have to the rescue to see if it's okay. I gave all the internal furniture I had that went with it away.

I to love looking for the best prices but even then I usually buy something then find it cheaper :))

Well done convincing your husband you need piggies in your life too ;)
