I'm looking to adopt two more piggies, and I have my eye on two boars but they have 'special requirements'. One has fatty eye, and it says they must be housed indoors - I was just wondering why this is? As far as I was aware, fatty eye is usually harmless and doesn't have much impact on their lives? (except, occasionally, vision)

I have a girl with fatty eye who is housed outdoors. How strange. I've never heard they had to be kept in?

She's fine, no issues at all.

That's what I thought! I guess we'll discuss that when we go to visit them.

Maybe they have always been indoor piggies and that's what thry want them to carry on with in their new home

They seemed to suggest it was to do with his eyes :/

I would definitely ask why. Fatty eye can be linked to heart issues but not always. If that is the case then I do agree that heart pigs are best kept indoors as they need to be monitored all the time. I would have thought they would have mentioned it though if so.
