I would like to find some long play tunnels for floor time. I see some available online made of a spring-like metal coil surrounded by collapsible fabric, but they are not machine washable and my pigs poop on everything lol. Has anyone tried making their own out of washable materials? I’ll take any ideas :) thanks!

We have the same problem with tunnels. We just mostly stick with the short cardboard ones now. I have a medium size plastic one- can’t remember where it’s from that’s flat inside & easy to wash.
The first tunnel I brought was concertina style one, it was a disaster. Couldn’t wash easily & the boys thought it was tasty.
Wicker tunnels seem to quickly get dangerous when anypig decides to have a snack, and leave lots of pokey out bits.

I made some fleece corner tunnels which are loved, too the point where I am in need of making new ones.

Good luck with your quest/project!

I have the wire/cloth tunnels which I soak in hot water & soap. I scrub the inside with a scrub brush. I then rinse many times and then I hang it over the shower head to drip dry but in warm weather I let them drip dry outdoors. I have 4 of them so I can switch out a clean one right away when I am washing the dirty one. 🙂

Oops I forgot to mention I have the single tunnels not the ones with tubes in different directions. Mine are roughly 2 ft. or so long only. 🙃

Thanks! Did you find a tutorial on making the corner tunnels or do you just wing it?

That’s good to know they still hold up after hand washing.

I use a long piece of plastic pipe. I got it from a builder friend. It’s easy to wipe clean and you can cut it to the desired size.

@AidaB , I'll buy one off you if it includes the contents ❤️😍😂
That was Hector 🌈with Hamish.
Unfortunately my little H says he lives here despite various noisy neighbours!

If you would really like one, I might be persuaded, just for you @fluffysal (being ex MK). However I currently have no fleece!
Had to whizz up a bunch of new pads for the wee monsters.
