I've been reading about guinea pig introductions and is it an aggressive act for a pig to not let the other sniff their behind and nip them in return. Also, if guinea pigs raise their heads at each other and teeth chatter, is this a sign they won't get along or merely dominant behaviour.

I believe these are all just signs of dominance and not a clear indicator that they won't get on. My willow often chatters at the youngest in the group, usually it's just annoyance because she's bombing around and willow has cataracts. It settles pretty quickly
