Joey&Gizmo
Adult Guinea Pig
As Gizmo has a possible UTI and maybe stones if their is no improvemnet i have been questioning if their diet has anything to do with it.mallethead
I do give them a variety of veg and this is their daily menu.
One day they have: small carrot, sweetcorn, cucumber, parsley and lettuce.
Next day: Brocolli, green beans, cerlery, lettuce and dill.
I feed these everyother day so one day they have the first veg list, then the next the second.
I do give them grass/dandelions daily and of course they have access to hay 24:7.
They do also have basil, spring greens, chicory, cauliflower leaves, pak choi, kale, but i do limit these to once a month for each and i swap the dill and parsley for one of the above instead.
Are any of the veg i feed very high in calcium? I have printed off the list of high and low veg from Lauras sticky and i did try to aim for 2 low and 2 high so the ratio would be balanced.
I'm so confused as i thought i had the balance right but recently there has been white spots of calcium on their fleece, this is why i think I'm giving to much calcium.:{
Any advice i would be very greatful.
