Ok, so I'm bringing Jeff home today (Jeff's story for those who aren't familiar with it is here http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=66299 )

So - I'm tasked with the job of hand feeding him!

He has molars, so I can deal with veg, pellets I'll smush up with some water -but what about hay?

I was thinking of cutting it up really fine and mixing with his recovery mix or with his pellet smush?

Any other ideas of how to get hay into him, or high fibre alternatives that might be easier to get into him?

Also - my pigs obviously get given fresh veg, pellets and unlimited hay - they please themselves - how much food should I be getting into Jeff per day? (hes an adult male - now castrated). I'll be monitoring his weight carefully too!

Any advice/ideas would be gratefully received!

You can use tips from both these sites :)
I read your other thread and i've seen his pigtures x) the fact he's already eating is just brilliant ! :)

He's eating great! He's funny to watch if he gets a bit thats a bit too big, like a piece of hay thats too long, he's really confused that he cant nibble lol

Seeing as he's eating so well (I'm just chopping his veg up small into guinea-pig-bite-sized pieces!) I'm no longer concerned! I SO want to keep him!
