I am getting a baby guinea-pig at the end of January, she will be about 6 weeks old. What can she have and what can't she have? I haven't had a baby guinea-pig in a while so I'm not sure what to feed her. At what age can she start having vegetables, or is it ok for her to just have some of the others vegetables from the day she gets here?
If she has unlimited pellets, what age does she have unlimited until? I'm guessing she needs unlimited hay just like an adult guinea-pig would?
Is there anything else I can feed her to help her gain weight and grow?

At that age, your youngster can eat a normal piggy diet of mainly hay (up to 80%), a cupful of mixed veg (with one high vitamin C veg daily) and pellets.

Give her unlimited pellets until her growth rate is slowing down somewhere between 6-9 months old, but do it rather in several serving than keeping a bowl topped up in case you have toiletry accidents in the bowl.

Check whether she is drinking from a bottle.

PS: My surprise baby Tegan joined the Tribe at 4 weeks old when mummy weaned her.

One thing to add, depending on where she has come from veg may need to be introduced slowly. If she is comming from a rescue this will be less of a problem, you can simply ask them what they have already been feeding her. :)

Thank you :) Also, once a week I normally mix some burgess excel mountain meadow herb treats into their food, which they love and eat all of their pellets :)) is this ok to give to a baby guinea-pig, or should I not give her any treats like that until she's a bit older? Sorry for so many questions, I just don't want to give her anything that won't be good for her
