How should I feed corn on the con? Can I just cut the cubs into pieces and let them eat it or do the corn kernels need removing?

Also how much dried grass can I feed my piggles?

Hay should make up a big percentage of their diet so I tend to make sure they have an unlimited supply. I also feed corn on the cob occassionally and will just plonk the whole thing in the cage and between them they destroy it over 2-3 days

They do have unlimited hay always but I bought a bag of dry grass today too which they love but can they be fed too much of it?

is it readigrass? if so i think it is higher on calcium so should be fed in small amounts.A more experienced member may confirm this

Yeah, it's quite high calcium so should be given as treats.

But, I used to feed a small amount daily to my boys when I lived in a 'soft' water area and never had any problems with bladder sludge or stones. Now I'm in a 'hard' water area so don't feed it at all. It's good for youngsters too!

You can feed corn on the cob when it's still on the cob. But, it's not too good for them so I'd recommend it just as a treat. The leaves and threads are fine though, so they can be fed daily. Mine love them!

I just sprinkle a handful (for three guineas) of dried grass over their pile of hay every evening so that they have to forage for it. Keeps them occupied for ages! As Jaycey says, its high in calcium so just a small amount to keep them occupied.
