Hi all,

I am currently looking after our 2 Preschool pet guinea pigs while we are all in lockdown. I have been feeding them a little bit of grass from my garden everyday alongside their greens and a few pellets (hope this is right).

Well yesterday my dad cut the grass and I’m just wondering how long do I need to leave it before it’s safe to feed them grass again?

I believe that the grass should be fine, as the oils should only be on the cut grass. However, if you want to play it safe, maybe wait a couple of days to let the grass grow back and the oils to be cleared.

Hay is essential and makes up 90% of their diet, so I hope that it also on the menu unlimitedly?
At the risk of sounding rude, I’d like to add that small animals, especially guinea pigs, should never be kept in a school environment.

Actually, it’s between 80-90%. Not sure why you’ve been pointlessly nitpicking most of my posts.
I don't understand why you think I'm nitpicking, when I'm just expressing my own opinion or if I asked you to clarify something? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Isn't that what the forum is about? Sharing opinions and passing on information?

Yes they have hay several times a day and that’s your opinion and that’s fine but they’re very well looked after thank you 😊
