Hiya all,
Right when i first got my piggies i was well i over feed them a little but after the first week i realised that the more i give them the more there going to eat and become fat and unhealthy.
So i started giving them a tablespoon full of dry food(wagg gunieapig crunch) and some fresh veg like carrot, brocalli, green pepper and cucumber not all of them on the same day.( iam a hopeless speller)
Measument wise e.g half a good sized carrot cut into four peices between to pigges so two bits of carrot each ?
is that too much to give in the morning and at night* including the tbs of dry food?
on top of that they constantly eat ther Hay?
I need some guidance i dont want to make my piggies sick :(

This is basicly what I give my pigs too. Don't worry, if they show signs of obesity (difficulty moving, breathing or over enthusiastic eating) then take them straight to the vet ;) I'm sure they're fine!

You're certainly not feeding them too much and don't worry about the amount of hay they eat either as guinea pigs should have an unlimited supply of this. Why don't you have a look at the food section on here if you want some extra guidance? x

I dont think there obese but Bella is alot bigger that bella but just incase iam going to keep an eye on her. another thing is am not sure if bella is eating all Lola share because i see them stealing each others food all the time even though theres plenty there lol ? i have confused my self i need to put a thread in the behaviour bit about this no . thank you Rancor xashx

If your worried about how much one is eating try giving them a piece of veg each and then another - see how that works for a bit and it'll show them they have to share! about 30 gms of dried food should be ok each and keep topping up the hay all day!

i do give them bits of veg each and they still want the one that the other ones got then you end up hearing a loud sqeek then one gives up and gets there own bit and Lola has started getting a bit and running in there house with it so Bella cant get it lol. obvs i cant watch them all the time but girls will be girls i just dont want bella to be eating most of the food. Lola tiny comperd to Bella, thanks all for your help xashx

Thye may just be built differently my george and tiger are supposed to be same age (actually tiger is supposed to be older) but george weighs 150gms more than tiger and they are about 5 months old. You can just tell tiger is supposed to be thinner as he is in proportion and george is not fat just chunkier!
