I've been trying to feed Lexi up since her UTI as she lost a lot of weight, however, I weighed them all yesterday and Freya (who has always been the skinny one) is now getting quite porky. Lexi is currently 1100g which is a good weight, but she was around 1200g before the infection (she's always been quite chunky). I've been giving them plenty of food to try and fatten Lexi up and Archie is an ok weight too, it's just Freya getting porky.

I don't know if I should start cutting back on food now Lexi's weight is a bit more stable or if I should syringe feed her a bit separately as I still think she could still do with putting on a bit but I don't want Freya getting any fatter. What would you all suggest?

Thanks :)

I wouldn't want to try and syringe-feed a healthy pig personally -- it's a pain and they always seem to fight it! If she's calm enough and ok with it, I guess it might be an option.

My first thought was, can you separate them for a meal? Maybe just at dinnertime every other day, give Lexi some floor or run time on her own, with a big bowl of their favourite nuggets to chow down on. Then pop her back in with the rest and give them their usual evening veg or what-have-you.

Lexi is a good, normal healthy weight, so please do not feed her any extra!

Thanks for replying. She isn't a fan of the syringe so I won't bother with that. I don't know if she will eat on her own, but could give it a try :)
Thank you :)

Sorry Wiebke, just replied at the same time as you. Ok I'll stop giving them so much now then :) Thank you
